View Full Version : Could I be allergic??

I'm allergic to quite a few things like:
1. Penecillin (spelling?)
2. Dust and feathers
3. Certain fabrics like carpets
4. Radox (bubble soap for the bath)
Anyway, when I was in nursey school it was lunch time and the canteen was serving spagetti bolonaise (which had pork) and I can't eat pork meat because it's against my religion, so I was suppose to be told what and what not to eat. Anyway I ate what was given and although I did enjoy it, a few minutes later I threw up and felt really ill. I was thinking about this recently and I'm wondering, could I be allergic to pork? Or was it just something new that I wasn't familiar with?

You must have a really clean house (no dust), with wooden floors (no carpets) blinds on the windows (nocurtains - fabrics), and use synthetic-fill pillows (no feathers).
We're building up quite a profile about you!
LOL and what a profile indeed! Erm yeah our house is pretty clean because with the dust and stuff I get bad asthma attacks also but we do have carpets because we live in quite an old flat but that's soon gonna change because we'll be moving house soon to a much better property. So once that's all sorted I should be amongst a much safer atmosphere. and I don't sleep with feather pillows either.

The thing with pork is if it is not fully cooked, you can get sick on it. I had some pork chops once and I didn't cook it well done, and about a hour later I was upchucking. I know I can't eat Tomotaes, because it is very high on the acid scale, not even the juice.

Gene,
You have such a lovely way of expressing yourself, upchucking is tmi for us on here.
I know I cant eat brussel sprouts like Steve or not keen on fish as a rule, but can eat much anything else, I especially like spicy food but doesnt agree with me afterwards.

Sorry for being so graphic, how about "gotten sick". I seen that movie, the league of extrronearly gentleman, and mr. hyde. Are we in that league Nick. If not, how can I join.

I've discovered something else about my allergies :p I was really ill with pain the other week and eventually I had to go to hospital. They gave me some Aspirin to kill the pain and when I took a dosage, my chest began to feel extremely tight and I had trouble breathing. When I was then checked out for it they said to me that I had an allergic reaction to the Aspirin. How weird is that?!
