Hello everybody...

I'm a guy from Slovakia (I do not suppose you know where it is, but never mind...), who stutters a lot... and... I really do not know what to do...

It started when I was about 8 or more... since then I've been stuttering sometimes more, sometimes less... but badly all the time. It affected all my life. As I am a self-conscious person, I didn't want to be made fun of myself, so except for my family I had only a very little of friends to talk to and so I was getting retreated into myself more and more... Now I'm trying to talk to the people more, however, I find it very hard to make friends... So future looks pretty hopelessly for me... Oh, how I'm fed up with my helplessness... I just feel like a most unable and silly person in my surroundings..

Sorry if this bores you, but I just had to let that out... but if you could give me some advice, or whatever, I shall be most grateful...

Welcome Wlado, good to have you here. I know where your from, google earth is a big help. The majority of us stutter in different forms and we have very similiar thoughts, and we are all from different back grounds. Your not alone. Look around and don't be a stranger.

Welcome to the forum Wlado, you've come to the right place.
And not only do I know where Slovakia is, I once met a waitress in New York city who hailed from there.
