We are producing (as well as acting in) a performance of two of Noel Coward’s short plays in December this year.
However, all the cast are afflicted by stammering. Not only are we faced with the scary prospect of performing on a stage in front of people but we also have to do with the fear of stammering. All the members of the cast, and the majority of those in the supporting production team, have been on an intense speech fluency course and are dedicated to working hard to challenge and improve their speech.
Since being on the course, our speech has improved dramatically and we often refer to ourselves as “Recovering Stammerers”.
Two short plays will be produced on the 9th December 2006 at 7.30pm at the London Oratory School in West London. The first play will be “Ways and Means” – a witty social comedy - and the second play will be “Red Peppers” – a music-hall comedy. Both are suitable for family audiences and it promises to be a great evening. The project has the support from the British Stammering Association.

Thanks for more details. I don't live near London, England, I'm more near, London, Ontario, Canada. Good luck with the play and those who plan to attend, let us know how it goes.
Are there any plans to film the shows, and perhaps host them on youtube? Or will that just add to the nerves :D
We certainly will be filming the plays although I don't think we can host them on YouTube as they will probably be a bit too long.
We might put up a few edited highlights though.
:)
