Imperfection

Hello, everyone. My username's Imerfection, but you can also call me False or Shin. I won't be giving out my real name for privacy reasons. ^_^
About me...I'm 14 going on 15 and I'm one of the few females on this site, I suppose. I've heard that the ratio of men to women who stutter are 3:1 or 4:1, am I correct? When I heard that, I couldn't help but think, "Great, I'm one of the FEW girls who has a stutter. How wonderful..."
But really, I looked and also saw that more people who write with their left hand stutter than right-handed people too. I'm left-handed. I experimented with both my right and left until I was 6, I think, but in the end, I chose my left hand. *laughs*
I used to be really depressed about my stuttering, and truthfully, I still sometimes get down about it--but I have learned to cope betterwith it. I've been told I've had it since I was 5, although I don't personally remember it until I was 7. Anyways, I'm stuck it with it now (I'm not going to waste my time hoping for a cure, at least) and the only thing that I can really do is try to improve. (Which I have a speech therapist, now, finally. I went two and a half years without one--long story.)
Anyways, I like to read (not out loud, though :p), write, draw...anything creative. I plan to become a fiction author when I grow up, and I won't let my stutter come in the way of that dream...no way will I ever let it take control of my life again.
Heh, I've probably written enough right now. :D Talk to y'all later!
