Hello, I am a stutterer of 16 years old, and live in a small town in Colorado. It's hard for me to remember when I started to stutter..I think it may have been when I was around twelve or thirteen, but the affliction seems to have been blurred into my memories. I was very shy at a younger age and I'm not sure if that was an attribute of my stutter. My stutter has recently evolved into blocking, which makes it near impossible to talk or finish my sentence, and I substitute or change the subject, it is extrememly annoying. I've heard that this is caused by trying to avoid the stutter, which seems to be what happened. I also tend to repeat my sentences quite often.
