Hi my name is fianna I am 22 years old And I have been stuttering all my life. this is a very hard topic to talk about i never talk about it never because i have i am kind of shameful of it. I was made fun of in grade school like everyday i would come home crying and in middle school it got a little better but its was till hard on me. But when i went to high school by now every one new how i talked so i did not get made fun of anymore so that was a good thing. so now i am 22 years old and for the past year i have seen a change not a good one in my speech like i will open my mouth and nothing coems out are i stay one one work like 5 sec and i cant get it out, and i am like oh my goodness. The strange thing about is that i can sing I am a music and voice major and I know its from God because its a gift nut at times i am like why can i sing but i cant talk you know and so iam just tring to find what to do. I am so happy that i gound this palce to were i know people can feel my pain and understand were i am comeing from.

I just want to say that i am happy to be here I have been going through life like i am the only one that stutters beacuse i dont know anyone who does. so i ahve been feelling like i was an outcast and that i am slow because i could not talk. But i see their are so many people here that are going through the samething and i dont feel like i am odd anymore when i am cand speak. So i thank everyone for you help and your input.:)

Im jeem, and also a stuterrer.I just found this forum a week ago and decided to join yesterday. sorry for my bad english. I don't try to learn to speak or write english when I was younger because If they know I'm good at english the teachers will always call me to recite a poem or something. This speech impediment is really something painfull. I'm glad I found this forum, reading all your post here just make me feel more ease.
btw im 33 yrs old and from philippines.
