I am starting to freak out next week I have a presentation (powerpoint 26 slides) about Payroll changes I have been working there for 3 years never once had to do a presentation. I am so scared that I am going to make such a fool of myself and that I will lose the respect of my co-workers. Especially the cute guys? Now their going to see me as a freak when I start stuttering. What do I do? I am so nervous..............any advice?

I also went to see a Dr last week and he told me that I may have also Asperberis Syndrome (I think its spelled like that) because I do not have much of a social life and keep things to myself he says.

So I decided to start Salsa Lessons with a co-worker of mines so that I can have a social life.

Hey, something that might help is telling everyone that you stutter at the beggining of the presentation. This will get a lot of pressure off of you, and make you and your audience feel a lot more comfortable.

The correct spelling is Asperger's Syndrome. I'm positive I have this also. My social life is down the drain. It's almost non-existent. The funny thing is that sometimes I wish I was more social but then when situations come up, I just want everyone to leave me alone.

Do none of your co-workers know you stutter?

I would try to send my boss an email a couple days before or whoever might be in charge of this presentation. Let them know your hesitant when you speak but you are prepared. Make use of email!!
