Yet another newbie!!!

Hey, I'm Becca and i think i've always had a stutter! I cant give a great big long explaination or named reasons i just sometimes stutter! been reading some of this forum, theres some really interesting stuff here, lol it was nice to know i'm not the only one that finds it difficult to say their own name, Rebecca caused issues so i changed to Becca!

Welcome becca, I cant believe you actually changed your name because of the stutter.I always thought about doing it but i figure i'd end up stuttering on the new name eventually because of mere anxiety when saying it.

well it wasnt just because of the stutter people seemed to always be shortening my name anyway and i hated becky so it kinda turned in to becca and as i struggled over the 're' bit it seemed easier! and theres was always lots of rebeccas at school so being a becca solved the problems. my housemate now is also called rebecca so me being becca makes that easier as well. i still always sign myself as Rebecca on paper and inportnat stuff.

actually i'm a southerner origionaly lol i'm using yorkshire for their universities! but i do have a sort of northern accent as both my parents came from that way lol does that make me yorkshire enough?
