Hi there,
Been looking for stuttering forums for a while and this one looks like a really welcoming resource. Some of the threads are really interesting. I personally don't stammer but have an active interest in it as i am a student speech therapist. Stammering is an area that really interests me and i'd like to learn more about it. I'd be interested to hear anybodies thoughts on this.
Cheers
Annie

hi annie, tim nice to meet you.
I have an interiorised stammer, Im currently looking to start an access degree to speech therapy this yr.
Where do you live?
and how long have you been studying for?
i think you'll find the forum helpful, as there are a lot of real life experiences here and a lot a speech therapist can take from it.
chat to you in the forum, be nice to hear you professional views.

Thanks for all your comments, its great to be welcomed so openly, if I am honest I was slightly worried about people’s reactions to an SLT/SLP. Not sure how to reply to all of ur comments, so I am going to respond to them all- I am useless with a computer!! I’ve been studying for three years so far in Cardiff and stammering is an area that I am really interested in, like you said Tim there is a lot of “real” life experiences on here, which is what I ed to get by joining this group. I actually don’t know anyone who stammers, I hope people don’t think that I am hypocritical for joining, in fact it is one of my reasons for joining, I thought that becoming part of this forum would allow me to meet stammerers first hand who could bring something to my training. Would be great to speak on the phone, whenever you are free let me know!
Look foward to speaking to you on the forum.
