Hi, I'm Sarah, and have decided to join this forum after a rather protracted period of keeping my head near to the sand when it came to discussion and socialising with other PWS.

Brief demographic rundown....28, I live in the UK, am a mature student with a subsistence job in retail. I also write for Speaking Out from time to time, most recently about the parallels between rock-climbing and the path out of stammering. An admittedly hypothetical belief but one that I'm trying to get the guts to follow....

I'm currently reading about - and doing - the Valsalva Technique which makes perfect sense. I don't have a particular bent on neurology vs psychology, other than to say that the breathtaking rapidity of my fluency in reading all of this out alone, sitting in my study, versus the stilted, gulping version that I'd roll out for the general public means to me that there's an interference with the natural capability; not an absence....

Anyway, it'll be good to meet you all, both offer and receive comfort and generally partake in a new chapter of my life...

Cheers

S

Hi Sarah, how are you doing. I have read a few stories, speaking out, and really enjoyed them. Good to have you hear and looking forward in what you have to say.
