Hi all,
I'm Warrick and I am a life-long stutterer can relate to so many posts I have read in this forum. As a teenager I used to go to a resturant and order what I could say, not what I actually wanted. I was so fearful of meeting people I spent 10 years plus drinking heavily and regularly because without my truckload of inhabitions holding me back, I was able to meet people and was able to connect to people. To me, it was less painful to make a fool out of myself drinking, than to be sober and make a fool out of myself stuttering.
I have aged a little bit more now and have managed to pull a lot of strength out of my stutter. I am determined to turn my weakness into a strength and have made it my mission to find answers that can help people trapped behind their stutter. (Including myself and my 3 young boys who are showing signs of stuttering).
Talk more soon. Thank you for your time.
