Candidiasis is the common name for a condition that results in the overproduction of a form of yeast normally found in the body at low levels.
Candida is not considered anything to worry about; however, recent research has put a spotlight on this form of yeast that is causing the medical profession to reconsider its totally benign assessment of candida. It is inside all of us – in the digestive tract, mouth, and throat. In women, it is also found in the . The most common species of candida is called candida albicans.
Candida is caused by:
Use of antibiotics
Steroids
Birth control pills
Heavy metal toxicity
Exposure to pesticides
A weakened immune system
Type 2 diabetes
Chemotherapy and radiation treatments
A poor, unbalanced diet
Obesity
Signs of Candida overgrowth:
Fatigue
Does your mind seem slow and "foggy"?
Do you crave sugar, have a bloated abdomen or abdominal pain?
Do you have a white coating on your tongue or inside your mouth?
Do you always have sinus problems?
Do you have itchy rashes on your skin?
Do you feel 20 to 30 years older than you really are?
Does your long struggle for health cause you depression?
Have you been sent home by doctors who say "nothing is wrong with you" -when something so obviously is?
The main reason why I started this, ACID REFLUX
I have done another cleanse through the last couple of years. I've done 2 colon cleanses.
As I stated above I began this because of my severe acid reflux problem. I bought this book" Natural Cures They Don't What You to Know About." I think that's the right title. For GERD it advises several cleanses. I finally began this candida cleanse.
What really made me do this was I saw Jenny McCarthy promoting her new book on "Larry King Live" and she stated she cured her son from autism. A candida cleanse is one of the things that she did for her son.
Well within the last couple of weeks I thought alot about this. She said her son never could talk in completed sentences. She put him on a candida cleanse and watched his diet and within a week her son was talking in complete sentences.
I didn't know anything about autism then but I thought maybe an autistic child's speech has something to do with a stutterer. I hope I don't offend anyone with this. I am not comparing autism to stuttering. Just the point that it's the same part of the brain that involves speech.
So I began this diet. I had a list of foods that I can't eat that came with the kit. Online there are other foods that I can't eat and foods I should eat. I was confused on why my list was different. I started the cleanse and within a couple of days I noticed my stuttering decreased. Then about day 4 I noticed it increased a little bit. The only thing I had for lunch was a wheat wrap. I thought this was weird. My increase in stuttering lasted about 4 hours. Yesterday it happened again. I looked at what I ate. I had oatmeal for breakfast. I looked at the ingredients for the oatmeal and it had wheat in it. It kind of startled me.
Along with this, I bought Jenny McCarthy's book about her son having autism and how she cured him from it. Her son had alot of seizures and the doctor's didn't know why. Finally a neurologist told her that her son had autism. She did research and found that gluten which is in wheat and cassein which is in milk was causing him to have seizures and assist his autism. She really believed this when she took him off wheat and dairy for a week and her ignorant husband bought him a milk shake. Almost instantly he had a seizure.
When I saw the part about the wheat I just could not believe it. Was this a coincidence? This morning before I ran I looked at the list of foods I shouldn't eat and in the bottom was "wheat". I couldn't believe it how did I miss this. I knew I wasn't 100% doing the "foods to avoid" but I don't know how I passed that up. So like I said a couple of days ago it seems like my diet has decreased my stuttering but I am anxious to find out what the candida cleanse did for me in a couple of weeks.
I am kind of confused because after the research on candida I found out that people have a day when they feel bad. This is the candida dying off. I haven't had that. Maybe my very little bit of cheating with different foods affected this cleanse. I hope not. I don't know how much bad stuff candida needs to keep winning the war. I have a book on candida and hopefully I will know within a couple of days.
Thanks,
Eddie
