I seem to have notice that I have the tendency to stutter more if I'm talking to a person of a different race.
I'm Asian but I seem to feel more self concious if talking to caucasian, hispanic, .. as long as not asian race! Is this a common thing for stutterers or is this just me?

I just would like to add that I read here in the forum the common fears of stutterers like talking on the phone, ordering in a restaurant, etc .. are fears that I can relate to.
I'm wondering if talking to a person of a different race is a common fear of a stutterer too.
Anyone can relate?

msbblush - I'm always concerned that stutterering only makes a language barrier more challanging.
It is interesting when talking to a deaf person through an interpreter how the stutter effects the signing.
