Hi,
I know that there are many people who come to this forum and I also realize that many of them are older than me (most post-secondary), so I was wondering if any secondary students (grades 8-12) could post here and explain their worst problem with stuttering.
This may sound stupid, but I just want to familiarize myself with people around my age.
I'm in grade 9 and I find that introducing myself is the most difficult thing for me. (Saying my name :( )

Hi, although I'm not your age, I'm 31 :) , I'll still reply with my views on your comment!
Saying my first name has been for years one of the most difficult things for me. The curious thing is that i only started stuttering on my first name when I was about 22 years old, when I started looking for a job and going to job interviews!
Unfortunately, the problem with your name is that you can't avoid it and you can't use word substitution!
My only piece of advice is: do not avoid situations because you have to say your name. The problem will never magically go away and it will only get worse if you start avoiding. Force yourself to go through any situations that involve saying your name. Over time, you'll start getting desensitized and you will get better at it.
And, whenever you do stutter badly when saying your name, don't dwell on it, just take comfort in the fact that everybody in this forum and many other thousands (millions?) of people throughout the world know exactly how you feel.
