Fast Talking Sales Associates

Just thought of this thread as sort of a spin off of another post reguarding EB Games.

What do you think of sales associates at these video game stores or anywhere who talk very fast or fast in general??

Should we see it as part of who they are??

Should we secretly wish they would talk a tad slower?

I definately think we should just go with it.

Do you think they talk fast because they are in a hurry, or like to sound enthusiastic?

Ideas or thoughts?

I think it's just because they're in a hurry. When I worked in food, at a bagel shop, I used to talk so fast I would have to tell myself to slow down so the customers could understand me. It just because routine.

"Hi, can I help you."
"Yeah, I'd like a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel."
"Whatkindacheese, cheddarswissmunsteroramerican?"

lol.

People want service fast, so I felt rushed to get them their food fast, therefore spoke fast. :)

You can CHOOSE to continue to let them affect you or not. If you talk SLOWLY will that make THEM talk slowly? probably not. If they talked w/ an Indian accent, would you get one? probably not! So, talk how YOU want to talk and allow them to do what they do--because they do so only because of themselves : )

I fully agree. I realy don't give a darn how fast a person talks. We just need to go with the flow.
