I have a very important class.
At the start of the class the teacher make questions to the students, if you dont know the answer you Should leave the clase. If you leave the class 5 times you Disapprove the hole year.
Last week (the first week) I was depressed because I lock severely.
I want to explain to my profesor my problem and ask if i can do more written work, but, how can i said to him?

I always approach my professors at the start of the semesters. Mine have always shown compassion and understanding. As long as you make it clear you're not looking for a free ride or more leniency on the work load, I find they'll make exceptions on speaking.
Explain to your professor the difficulty you're having. They won't know unless you tell them.

If it seems like it's going to be an issue in the class, like if the class has a lot of participation or requires a presentation, then I'll send an e-mail to the professor at the start of the term letting them know that I stutter and seeing if they can make accommodations about the requirements. I had one professor say that he wouldn't, and I just waited until the next term to take that class with somebody else. Other than that, every professor I've had has been completely understanding and hasn't had any problem with adjusting requirements. I think that if you offer to do an alternate assignment, they probably won't have a problem with it.

thanks guys i would do that.
should say that i am stutterer or that i have a problem to speak in class?
If I was paying all of this money to goto school and a professer refused to make accommodations for me ,I would go above him to the dean and threaton to sue the school if this is not resolved, then they will think twice the next time it happens

Tell him you have a stutter, be specific. If you just tell him you have a problem speaking in class, he may use that as an excuse to help you get better. I.E., speak more.
hi ,In the US most schools past high school you must pay money to attend them ,college ,trade school etc..,school can be hard for us anyway ,just try to hang in ther

Should the teacher also not use the stutter as an excuse to help pepegrillo improve his confidence in class speaking? it may actually be his lucky means of over coming the stutter. We love to hide too much.
pepegrillo - The teacher should give you more time to answer the questions and do any presentations. I expect you to know the answers to his questions else you desrve to be out of the class like other students who fail. do you need to be treated special because you have a stutter or you want to be given more time to answer the questions?
he would give you more time to speak if you ask him, don't take the easy way out of begging to not be asked questions. its called AVOIDANCE and we all know that is a NO NO if you want to improve your speech
