i didnt really develop a stuttor untill i hit my early teens although my parents tell me i have allways suffered with a speech problem. i dont no what exactly caused it, all i no is that it has affected my life dramatically in the sense of it holding me back when talking in open discussions, making phonecalls, saying sentences which last longer then a few words and so on. i tried going to a nhs theropist when i was 15 but she was young and came across asif she didnt understand what was wrong with me, which i think was due to the fact she was only used to helping young children with stammers. so i stopped going after a few times. iam 18 now and life hasnt changed much from my stuttoring point of view i still stuttor when nervous or excited. my confidence is still low although i do have friends and a loving gf who both understand that i have a problem and dont make me feel worse if i do stuttor around them. anyways thats me introducing myself, if you have any tips about stuttoring or anything then please feel free to reply or message me thanks
