Hey guys! I want to ask you all of your most embarrassing moment being a stutterer, or seeing someone stutter. I have many moments. One moment was where I was getting a book in the library, and the clerk asked me for my name, but I had a really bad block, and couldn't say it. Also, I was in class and a kid said "This dude is weird, he keeps saying 'um..'." Tell me some of yours!

I don't know if it was my most embarrasing moment but I remember an unpleasant incident that occured when I was at school in French class. From what I remember we had to talk about our families (in French) out loud in front of the class. I have a sister called Louise but I kept repeatedly blocking on her name and I just couldn't get it out no matter how much I tried. I briefly considered just making up a new name that I would find easier to say but I couldn't do this because the teacher knew my sister from when she was a student so he knew what her name was. A lot of people in the class found it funny that I couldn't say the name and I was teased for several weeks there after with people accusing me of not knowing my own sisters name.

There are so many stories to tell. When I was in school I liked drama a lot and had roles in a number of plays. One year we went to summer camp and I volunteered to act as the husband of a smoking hot girl that flew in for the summer. I did o.k in rehearsals, but when we got on stage I opened my mouth to speak and felt like I was having a seizure (hahaha) I mean nothing was coming out. The girl started to panic and was calling for help from an audience of my peers. They all erupted in laughter as they knew I was having a stuttering moment. I blew my chances with her and felt like boot shit the rest of the week.

There's a few.
The seizure spouts are mortifying! When your face actually contorts to try to get the word out...
One that I remember was when an especially persistent mocker of mine in high school was ragging on me. I had been making improvements in my fluency but I was getting irritated, so I shouted "Wh-wh-wh-when is the last time you heard me stutter!"
...damnit.
My most embarrassing moment happened during my sophomore year in high school. We were reading aloud in English class and the teacher called on me to read. I only had a couple paragraphs to read, but it took me forever to read through it. Being a closet stutterer, I scan and replace words but you really can't do that when reading something. So it pretty much took me a really really long time to get through the tiny paragraphs, but the worst thing was that nobody said anything the entire time... they just let me finish.
Oh, and the very next day the teacher called on me to read again. I think she thought I couldn't read or something and that it would come with practice, but that wasn't the case. I almost wanted to talk to her after class about it, but I was too ashamed.

I have quite a few but I try to forget about them.. I find it's better to focus on times I've spoken well.. :)

i remember in highschool, there was this one kid.. a short chubby kid and he bugged me for everything all the time for 2 years. he would make fun of my stutter in front of the whole class and just everything and over time i got so fed up with it that at the end of the year when final exams came along i went in there and wrote my last one fast and got out before him , i waited for the guy and he knew what was going to happen so he went to the councellors area and hung out there and then i just walked right in there and just unleashed all my rage on this kid, it felt so damn good and the good thing was it taught the kid a lesson he never ever bothered me again and he never bothered anybody else either.
