Nah, it's just years of being a dry drunk (last I heard he was back on the bottle, though). His brain is fried. Also, the excessive cocaine and booze usage in the 70s and 80s hehe. :o But he talks to God, so it's all ok!

I can't name a more terrible speaker than Dubya. Maybe Dan Quayle? Obama stutterers sometimes, but he's a wonderful speaker with a lot of heart. He means what he says.

Let's not bring such an evil man into our group. Stutterers never caused anyone to die. :D

thats fake man... people just edit that in. they take pieces of pauses and disfluency from every speech he has given and combine it all into one. i have heard him speak on live tv and stuff and he speaks great.

He speaks great?! Can I have some of your crazy pills? ;) He has the speaking capacity of a child. I wonder just how someone can be president with such a low awareness of their speaking deficiencies. He makes this country look like a bigger joke than it already is. Then again, his speaking habits are overshadowed by the fact that he is a war criminal and should have been impeached ages ago with everyone else in his administration. I could go on about everything else he has done, but he's really not worth the time hehe. :o

That clip might have been fake, but just searching YouTube reveals a host of other videos which are very real.

well i dont know a lot about george bush but come on its common sense. he obviously has to be somewhat good at public speaking to become president. People voted for him in the first place, its a no brainer that he must have delivered some impressive speeches. Do you think that the citizens of the US are going to vote for a person who speaks like a child, i dont think so. you will always get your complainers in everything. No matter who is prime minister or president people will bitch. i keep hearing people bitching... ohhhh harper is an idiot. i dont know a lot about politics but you got to be good at puublic speaking to get in there.

Speaking skills are just a small part of what makes a person qualified to be president. Otherwise, what's the point? Any idiot could be president (and is, currently). Dubya doesn't even have that going for him. I'm not sure why people think his "down home" ways are something to he admired. It's all a fraud, anyways. He's not even from Texas.

Sorry to break it to you, but he never got elected president in the first place. He was chosen by the supreme court. I wouldn't even count 2004 as a re-election. He is rich and well-connected. The only reason the people in powerful positions support him is because he does what they want, they do not care about the average citizens' needs. If he didn't go along with what the powers that be wanted, they would drop his ass and find another tool to take his place. Luckily for him nobody in my country cares about holding people accountable for their actions. John McCain is another tool, another puppet who will take Bush's place if these people get their way. These people are the reason why our economy is about to collapse, our banks are closing, and many, many more people are going to lose their jobs.

You don't have to know a lot about politics to realize they just don't care. They are about greed, and they don't even pretend to care about the loss of life, jobs, and money this country and this planet has endured for the past 8 years. Common sense isn't something easy to come by. ;) There is more to issues facing all of us than you think, it helps to dig beneath the surface to find the truth. As far as Canadian politics are concerned, I don't have much knowledge of them. All I know is Harper is a conservative, and wants to repeal the progressive laws (such as gay marriage) that your country has passed. It sounds like the great people of Canada are much smarter than to allow that to happen. :)

Political rants feel so good. :o

The thread was originally about stuttering and evolved into something else, like many other threads have. Relax.

The initial post was fine. But, this is a group about bringing people who stutter together. Topics like politics and religion push people apart. I have seen other groups end up in the gutter after a few seemingly innocent political posts. Anyway, I'm not the moderator of this group, so do what you guys want.

You're right, I've never been there. But I live in the panhandle of north Idaho which is pretty close to being in the deep south, and nobody likes him up here.
