i salute you!!!!! good job.... presentations are always the most difficult thing to pull off impressively. how was the audiences reaction... did anybody laugh at all. i have a feeling when i do my presentation there is going to be some laughter iam already feeling nervous as hell and its a few months away.....

i dont think anybody was paying attention anyways, it was one of long days of 145 mins of presentations.

Hey, great job. I bet it made you feel very proud of yourself, and relieved after it was over. In high school, presentations were the worst, because I always stuttered. I guess the nerves just got to me. :o

Great stuff!

Yeh I know this thread's a bit old but was just browsing through and this caught my attention.

I study Architecture at Uni and we too, do alot of presentations throughout the semester. I find the best way to feel confident before you start your presentation is to get to know your audience a bit more, like talking to more people in your class, and your tutors, so that you'll be familiar with them.

And the truth is, not EVERYONE listens to EVERYTHING you say most of the time anyways, so go slow and take your time :)

i have actually heard that advice before about mingling wtih the audience before hand, thats good advice actually. but i think the best way to prepare for speeches is to join toastmasters or something.

my speech therapist actually wants me to join toastmasters eventually, im extremely scared of that scenario!

I hated that feeling. Usually I used that feeling to fuel my fluency, but most of the time it backfired and made my stuttering worse.

I had a presentation too last week. I wish I could say I did an amazing performance, but it was just in front of 10 people. lol That's nothing to be proud of I guess.

Ever since my terrible experiences back in school I have hated doing presentations. For most people it seems so easy to stand there and talk for 20 or 30 minutes. I think teachers and other students can hardly understand how much struggle this can be for a person having a stutter problem.
My main issue when giving a speech is that I fall in severe stuttering. Normally I'm just a moderate stutterer, but the nervousness and the feeling of being laughed at just unnerve me. If anyone has advice for me in this case I'd be very grateful!
