Back in 8th grade I had a Science teacher who I literaly loved and we got along so much in a student-teacher way. You might say I would always play teacher's pet:D She was a best friend to every student and she made science an out of this world experience.

She sent me a card at the end of the school year saying how much I had made an impact as a student of hers. I loved that gesture, and she has always been more than a teacher, a super great friend, as well as her hilarious husband who I had for Math.

Now here's the deal....

I want to contact her very bad because her daughter is getting married and I am so extremely happy for her daughter.

But I want to be understood so I can have a meaningfull and lovely chitchat.

Sue-the name of that special friend and teacher changed me so much for the better, and I just want to let her know I still think of her often and her family.

But I want to sound like a human, not an incomprehensable fool.

And her daughetr named Alaina who is getting married-I only wish nothing but the best for her and her hot husband.

Although I have never met Alaina, it feels like I know her through her mom.

Sort of like I know her through spirit. Deep..poetic!

She is a Princess with a rightfully deserved crown.

My love to JJ, Lovely Leo, Super Sue, Marvelous Mike, Awesome Alaina.

uhh. how old are you? No offense but if you're like 25 then that's a bit on the creepy side, lol. She might not even remember you if it was a long time ago, I don't remember a single teacher in grades 1-8.

I'd send her a simple congrats card and leave your phone number on it.

i loved my kindergarten teacher who was my first principle. Mrs Okech. I went to school with her son Felix.
I send her greeting cards every christmas. She came to see my babies and even brought them matching sleepers. And she invited me to her sons wedding too. But i couldnt go. of course i donated to his registry.

Anyway you should tell her how much she impacted you. Teachers r very underpaid and overworked and its a thankless job.
People like u make it worth it. Go for it. Send her a card or something, pay for something really nice on their registry.

But the mother of the bride is always frazzled at the wedding so dont expect anymore than a cordial hello.

But she'll remember u, they always do.

BTW why do u think her husband is "HOT"???
r u in the closet or what?
Just asking.
Nate

No way Jose!! I don't think of any teacher in a perverted way as I hope no student of a former teacher does.

As for forgetting. She may have forgotten about me, but I have not forgotten about her.

Something may be gone, but it's not forgotten.....

That is good food of thought you gave though

I'm not in the closet, but in the living room. I'll be coming out the next time I go to the kitchen for a snack.

I don't have the computer set up in the closet, no. If I did have the computer in the closet, and I was typing this in the closet, then YES, I would be in the closet!!

But no need to be in the closet when I'm in the living room.

Seriously, her husband may be good looking, but not as hot as that special bride he has....

Oh BTW, means happy!!

And people that are "in the closet" just need to open the door or unlock the closet to "come out".

I thought one of my high school English teachers was one of the hottest guys I've ever seen in my life. I still do. What is wrong with that? Students are humans, teachers are humans, if there's an attraction there's an attraction. Yeah, I'm perverted I guess. I'm actually proud of it.

I do agree it is a bit creepy to want to contact an old teacher, I mean maybe if still kept in contact but from 8th grade?! I barely remember my 8th grade teacher's names, let alone wanting to talk to them again hehe.

From personal experience, coming out of the closet involves more than just "unlocking the door". :o

Not if one wishes to know how they are doing.

Teachers are people just like us.

Friends can be of any age or occupation.

Adam, sometimes you're just a numpty!?

Never heard that word before. What does it mean-"numpty?

How do you know the daughter is getting married? Surely whoever told you about that can tell you the address of either the daughter or the teacher?

I looked up her mom on , and she does not have it, but her daugheter does.

I went to her daughter's page, and it said she was getting married the 18th of August!

So very glad for her!

Reprogram me for fluency and to score with chicks!

Reprogram you to get over your obsession with stuttering devices. ;)

Happy: I attended my 50th high school reunion. There was only one of our teachers still living, he was quite aged but he remembered me clearly because I was the only severe stutterer he had ever know in his entire career as a teacher. He was shocked by my fluency. Your teacher will remember you also.

See-that's what I mean. My teacher knew I stutterered, but then again she didn't remember me for my stuttering. She looked past that. She remembers me for brightening up her day each and every day with my very colorfull attitude.

I took that plunge and phoned my teacher wishing her daughter congrats on her wedding. It took some courage because I wanted to get my message out clearly.

I probably stutterered somewhat, but then again I spoke in such a cheery manner, it probably was not a problem.

I think hearing my own voice through headphones using DAF helped somewhat also.

But it's good that your former teacher was impressed with your fluency.

Am I the only one who doesn't ever want to talk to his teachers again? I hated high school. I couldn't wait to get out. The only one who I would ever want to talk to again is one I had a huge crush on in high school. And even then, not for the conversation. ;)
