You guys should read books or webpages by Dr. Weil.
He's not a speech therapist at all but advises people on breathing, relaxation and nutritional techniques that seem to help my stuttering indirectly.

I know this thread is a little old (almost 2 months), but I wanted to mention it anyways. :)
Last night, I was flipping through the T.V. channels. When I got to CNN, I saw this guys name on Larry King Live that looked familiar and thought that I remembered seeing the name on these forums. Well, lo and behold, it was Dr. Andrew Weil. Anyone else see this?
Didn't watch too much of it. But from what I did see, he focuses on how to live a healthy life. Don't know exactly where stuttering comes in, but I think living a healthier lifestyle would probably have a direct relationship on stuttering.

I own a book by Dr. Weil -- Spontaneous Healing. Now I'm reading his Health and Healing. Very fascinating. Too bad he didn't mention anything about stuttering. He's not against conventional medicine or natural medicine. (but I think he's more for natural) Infants take very deep breaths compared to adults. He mentions you can expand your lung capacity if you mindfully practice it everyday. Most people breath shallow breaths.

Yeah, he's a big advocate of breathing techniques and using vitamins for general well-being which I think can have a dramatic improvement on stuttering.
Of course I have a lot of bad habits like coffee and beer so I haven't had the discipline to put his principles to good use but I'm trying.
