Heya!
My name is Zachary, I've been a moderate-severe stutterer my entire life. No biggie I guess, there are worse things I could have been afflicted with. My stuttering is really a non-issue with me. I've been there, done that, and heard it all when it comes to stuttering. In fact, I have learned to use my speech problem to my advantage. Hahaha!
I try to keep a positive perspective on life. Where some might see a battered and worn individual (me?!), I see myself as a tempered, tested, and resolute. I see greatness in myself, because I know very few non-stutterers could cut it as a stutterer. I believe there are reasons for a lot of things in life, and being chosen to bear through this is no exception.
Anyway, yeah. I've had very little contact with other stutterers throughout my life. I stumbled upon this forum a while back and thought it would be a great opportunity to read other stutterer's thoughts and opinions on the issue. I look forward to reading a lot of different perspectives on living with the issue, coping, teaching others, etc; as well as sharing my own.
Zachary!
