haha i was talking to him on before and he said something really cool so i thought i would post it (haha hope you don't mind John Woo)

"imagine yourself vividly as defeated, and that alone will make victory impossible. Imagine yourself as winning, and that will contribute to your success. Do not imagine yourself as anything, and you will drift. remember this. maybe helpful"

ahhaha i just liked how he worded it - it makes sooo much sense. =D i should tattoo this on my forehead bahaha

Nice one Violet. And thank you Woo :)
Remember he is Chinese: these words are typical of buddhist/taoist thought.
How you choose to see a thing most definitely shapes that thing.
I say again:
Each MOMENT of your life IS your life.

haha, Violet, I am glad you like that. I hope it will really be helpful to you.

hey, Asif, these words aren't buddhist/taoist thought at all and they are from my college english text book written by Eugene Raudsepp, not a chinese. Whether a word is good or not should not depend on the country which the speaker come from , right?

I truly believe your mindset influences you on many levels, both physically and mentally. Good words, definitely.

Those words are typical of anyone who is enlightened of themselves. Not b/c they are chinese and they sounds 'deep'. No more stereotypes and assumptions Asif

And no more assumptions and stereotypes from you either.
What is it with people like you? Do you wait in dark places to leap out and stab people? Is it deliberate?
I say what is true. That particular way of looking at things originates in the orient. Maybe you don't know things like that though.
It's far easier just to attack someone than to investigate the truth.
People generally keep stuttering because they fill their minds with chaos and refuse to search for new ways of being.
Peace is what is required.
Your senseless attacks don't help you or anybody else.

This does make alot of sense, our thoughts really do shape our reality. As a stutterer I have been bombarded with negative thoughts about my life. One thing Iv relized is that however we think about our life, weather positive or negative isnt ultimatly true. You dont need to be convinced by every negative thought that comes, you can step back from the conditioned perspective you have built and be the shaper of your own perspective. Is the glass half empty or half full? niether, its your choice.

only now i am losing my voice from talking so much and so loudly and now kinda sound like a man. but yet i haven’t been stuttering  perhaps the cure for stuttering is something to do with energy and sore throats...

I think Asif just gets his "pearls of wisdom" from a fortune cookie or something. ;)

Wait, fortune cookies tend to make more sense.

You must have discovered the secret of eternal youth SST.
You must be the oldest five year old anybody ever saw.

Do you LIVE on this forum along with your other childhood buddies? There's a whole world outside your door.

Take a look. But don't forget to tell mommy you are going out.
It's dangerous out there You could trip over an ant or something.

That’s a bit rich coming from a fellow forum poster. ;)

and since when did you get all contemptuous? I thought you were supposed to be wise... I swear in the past few days it sounds like another person has taken over your account... do you have multiple personality disorder?

Who knows? What would it matter if I had?
I never cled to be wise, nor did I think it.
I tried being supportive of those who were still searching for the fluency I have found.
But my manner was too kind, my words too calm.
Before I make off into the night I might reply in kind to some of the low-lifes that pretend they actually want to improve their miserable lives.
In other words: I quit.
I am now just an ignorant, mean spirited, abusive, bigoted, -hating racist scumbag.
Some people here seem to be more comfortable with the idea of me being that.
We will see if it works any better.

Well i don't know about everyone else, but i was actually more comfortable with you being the kind, calm, supportive person willing to help. I cannot be 100% sure, but from what i read of your previous posts you had been exactly that.. but seemed to completely flip with your second post in the Dating Advice thread. And since then have been sounding like an angry bitter old man. well sure getting angry about mine, and others responses is just the way things work, just as our responses are also the way things work.. but that doesn’t mean you have to completely alter who you are/sound like on this forum. well in fact you seemed to completely change with your second post in that thread and just kept holding on to the bitterness ever since... I dunno man, whatever happened to all your inner peace?

He got that from Confucius, an ancient Chinese philosopher.
