Hey.....last year at the NSA convention in Parsippany I had the chance to hang out with one of the chicks from that documentary....... she was a really nice girl........attractive.......and most importantly she managed her stuttering really well........honestly I was most impressed by the way she managed her speech. The Transcending stuttering documentary gives off such a good vibe... Anyone who hasn't seen it I encourage you to click on counts link.:)

Which one did you meet? The black-haired? Yeah, she is dynamite. Too bad she has a stuttering problem. Attractive women haven't deserved that.

She is - at least - attractive.
Too bad unattractive people stutter.
They have to work even harder to make up for it.

There are no real unattractive people. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I have that Transcending Stuttering on DVD for years now!! I agree that the black haired brunett was mighty fine to look at, but too bad she had the stutter thing. She seemed very fluent during her segment of the vidoe!!

Why can't there be hotties like her that stutter near where I live!

They too are wicked nice!! What you saw on the show was what I saw at the conference!!

Conference- I better be going to it in Scottsdale--

The best time of my life--I sincerely mean that!!

You have a wrong belief, Adam. Stuttering women are like all other women. They have their own personalities, likes and dislikes, ideal of a man etc.
I don't think a stuttering female will fall in love with you just because you both share a speech impediment. It would be simply unfair to think like that. This would mean you see stuttering females as a sort of aliens who grab the first man that comes along their way because they can get no other. The contrary is the case. Stuttering women could turn you down in the same way as fluently speaking women could do.

...to whisk them into a dark alleyway, rip the clothing from their young, trembling bodies, immobilize them with their electron psychostimulator wands to discourage escape, before sinking their razor fangs into the jugular to suck the life out of their innocent, sweat-stippled victims...

Jolly good thing only one in every five stutterers is a female eh?

True. But a man asking out a female who stutters vs a female who does not stutter??

I would think that a girl who stutters would be better accepting of a stuttering guy who askes her out--because they both stutter--something in common. They wouldn't feel awkward talking to each other.

Does a stuttering girl think she will have any chance with a regular guy who does not stutter??

Sorry if this post does not make a whole lot of sense..I'm still coming off of my tiredness from Thursday!

pshh no! like it's never a good look when you appear to be uncertain about your name, or school, or whether you have a brother or not, etcetera, etcetera...
perhaps if i got to know a guy first and just skipped the whole introduction part then maybe it might be a possibility...

but i go to an all girls school.. so i don't actually really have the chance to mingle with all that many guys in the first place...

True, but only if I found the guy attractive and we had some other things in common as well. I wouldn't date a guy just because he stutters. You know how you can list features your ideal partner should have... no one is perfect and you never find all the things you want in one person. If the guy has a stutter, it is a plus, not an absolute requirement.

Does a stuttering girl think she will have any chance with a regular guy who does not stutter??

Yeah why not? I've dated "regular" guys. Based on my experience, they don't understand or care about my stutter which can be both, a good and a bad thing. More often bad.

Haha yeah i am pretty happy that i go to an all girls school :p but then i can't really compare it to being in a mixed school... I've always had friends and never been bullied in both primary and high school.. well at least not to my face :p so i guess my parents chose my schools well. I can certainly think of other schools in my area where i would have been annihilated. :o

That's exactly what I wanted to say. In a mixed school boys of your age would terribly laugh at your stutter. Girls are more empathetic, but there also are some exceptions.

Boys don't want girls to talk much. They just want you to obey! lol
