View Full Version : Birdbrains and Rhythm.
When I was young, a favourite aunt
said "crows can see what most men can't.
Most find it hard to like a crow,
For crows knows things that men don't know".
From high above, crows can look down
on all these self-important clowns.
Crows flap and squawk and know no bounds
While men lash out and wear deep frowns.
Some men set out to wipe out crows,
like sst and jdrow...
They call crows names and vent their spleen,
But crows just laugh, when they're so mean.
To a crow it is a full time job,
Sidestepping the lumbering human blob.
Who rants and raves and points and shouts,
so full of rage, so full of doubt.
Crows like to spy on what goes on,
But the day is theirs when men have gone.
To plot and plan and do mischief,
To bring mens best laid plans to grief.
Men never will dispense with crows,
Why this is so, who really knows?
But conflict is the way of men
The crows fies off, but comes back again.
The seeing-eye, the beating wing,
The bird that laughs at everything.
Misunderstood by everyone
who can not see all things as one.
Oh dear, I just remembered that
this post should be in General Chat,
But what the heck, I am a crow,
How could I know where things should go!

True, this post is an example of that rage and doubt. I think its time to stop offending real crows...

In future, past and present tense,
A crow's job is to give offense.
To cause the sleeping mind to think
To wake it up before it sinks.
Into the depths where none can live,
No telling what a crow can give.
And if by chance one word rings true,
As a crow can fly, then so can you.

I think your giving to much credit to crows when those qualitys sound more human like, well exept flying, although I was flying in a dream last night

Crows dont hold grudges and retaliate to other crows who have, say, fought over food with them in the past. They have no concept of past and future, they ruffle there feathers to release that built up energy from the conflict, move on and dont look back. Im pretty sure they dont write poems to cause conflict either

Self righteousness can seem so true
When the only one you see is you
If you were me and I were you,
I wonder then what would you do.
To everything there are two sides,
Seeing one, the other hides.
But seeing both, a crow does best
He laughs at you, you do the rest.

Well your argument (if you could call it that) stoped making sense to me, but I dont think you should be calling anyone self righteous. Yes, there are two sides to everything, obviously your not seeing both, your making it clear your on one side agaisnt sst and jdrow. I can definatly see how their view is valid and I can also see what your trying to say to them, even if its not in the right way. I dont think im a crow now, but im definatly laughing.

Crow knows the raven very well,
most people can not difference tell,
between these two black beaky birds
who also are computer nerds.
A crow's no leader, just a guide,
to things in which he takes no pride.
Nobody knows the crow's intent,
Nobody knows what his words meant.
But words, like seeds stay deep inside,
their power hidden, undenied.
Forgotten 'til they spring to life,
to make good sense of senseless strife.
The day will come, as all days do,
when men know what they always knew.
But had forgot in all their pride,
as lights come on, eyes open wide.
Now where's that crow, some men will ask,
who set us this demanding task.
We'd like to ask what he did mean,
But crow is nowhere to be seen.
And that is life for the elusive crow,
he leaves the world so far below.
He's what he is, no more, no less,
What he sees, he must confess.
Mirror, mirror, in my eye,
what lies beyong the boundless sky?
I know it must be very fine,
like every thing I can't define.

Nothing in particular, whatever captures my interest that moment.

A man said "I know I exist!"
But only because he was pissed.
When he found himself sober, he tripped and rolled over,
And noticed something he had missed.

.....what?
.....what?
...he looked hard at this thing he had missed,
he'd believed that he was being dissed.
But the crow had no cause, to put him through these wars,
So he smiled and he unclenched his fist.

You think I was angry? haha funny how people read into things...

You think everything applies just to you.
But then maybe you don't have a clue.
I've discovered a way, I can work while I play,
Unaffected by things you might do.

"This thread sucks haha" it is true,
But it's a thread I just had to do.
When you're under attack, you can choose to fight back,
Or poke fun at those who would hurt you.
The number of views of this post,
prove that some people like it the most.
I don't care if they do, I don't care if they don't,
It's just not in my nature to boast.

I wouldn't go that far. But I certainly am adaptable.

i'm adaptable too...but those poems are pretty good. and i think a much better form of communication for u. less imfammatory and abrasive. keep it up mr. crow:)
hey speaking of adaptible can u come up with one to impress a woman (hopefully mellow her out to say yes "THE QUESTION".
or just mellow her out and make her smile.
But not about crows. or any other scavenger bird.

I'm thinking being slapped or shot is pretty much going to ensure that a woman says no to whatever is being proposed.

Evidently you don't know women :)
They appreciate humour more than you think.
And the days of the sensitive, effeminate, yes-man metroual is nearly finished.

Does the BNP have rigid measures in place to test the masculinity and heterouality of its members?
Metrouals? This isn't 2003. :)

Yeah like bodily fluids, right?
Yeah like bodily fluids, right?
See how you are unable to detect that I am not you, and that you are you.
You want so badly to be me, that this is how it all comes out.
This fight you will never win.
It is my great honour to point this out to you.
I can call a truce or I can slaughter you.
I can be your ally, or I can destroy you.
You might seriously consider the fact that you are outgunned everywhere.
I live in hope.
