Public speaking of all dimensions

...and i can't think of anything else at the moment which is odd. There isn't anything else that i particularly fear (speaking wise)

I suppose i eliminate all feared speaking situations from my life... and because i'm not faced with them at present i'm not scared of them... :p

Being asked a question during class.

Ordering food.

Being asked to repeat myself.

Talking to mean/impatient people.

too many to count .......

I wished I would just forget the whole feared speaking situations.

Because it will lead you to review the horrible images. This 'excise' of the anxious, afraid and embarrassed imagination will leave memory traces in your brain. This negative memory traces supposedly damage a person's self-image. And the self-image has an important effect on a person's actual actions and performances.

This is why the way we picture ourselves is often the way we turn out.

Why can't you try to forget the embarrassment you have ever met? It does good, and adds much to your excitment and enjoyment of your own life.

My #1 feared situation is getting cold called on the spot in class, ESPECIALLY if its something difficult to articulate. At least with presentations and interviews you have some notice and control over the situation.

Pretty much any situation where I have to talk to or in front of somebody I don't know, or who I know will not be okay with my stuttering.

hmmm feared speaking situations. i dont really have a whole lot of feared speaking situations anymore. maybe public speaking still a little. the other day i went out with like a group of gorgeous ladies and a couple years ago i would defiantely fear that but now i dont for some reason. i went in there and even stuttered on purpose sometimes.

Public speaking is the thing that scares me the most. Even amongst the stutterers I'm the worst public speaker in the world (although my stutter is normally just a moderate one). I promise that even you would have a great laugh if you could hear me giving a speech.

The phone mainly. But it happens less if I'm talking to a friend/family member. But if I have to call to inquire about something or make an order, then that's when the stuttering flood gates open.
