Ok, y'all, since I graduated from college last May, my mom noticed (and later I have, too) that my stuttering has gotten worse and worse, along with my confidence in speaking. I feel that if I could build back up my confidence, I'll finally start to stutter less and less, and that's something I definitely need to happen as I'm getting started with life as a legal adult (I just turned 21 this past November and I've been looking for a job since last September). So do any of you guys have any advice as to how I can be more confident in my speech?

Not be a downer but that happened to me also. I went back to graduate school and at the beginning my speech was pretty fluent. I was confident bc I felt so good about getting into business school etc...but as school was coming to a finish my speech started getting very bad. I graduated in Dec 2006 and since then my speech has been getting worse. I still haven't found a job and I blame that on my speech, which in turn makes my speech worse. Some people have told me that as they age their speech gets better but mine has gotten worse. I hope that you will find confidence bc I really believe that we have more control over our fluency that we think we do. Good luck!

Well you have now be shunted out of your comfort zone of university and into the real world. At uni there was routine and you knew it well.

The sum of all parts is what makes you marketable
So true and I teach students that. The degree is only a small part. Some employers do not even look at it apart from the fact that it was completed. It is up to your to polish the package and I know you can

Prepare yourself before hand. An interview should be fun and engaging, also competitive. Sell yourself and your skills, drive & desire
