I don't know why, but I have this aura or sensation that surrounds my body that makes me feel like not wanting to talk.

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with stuttering.

But it's like a negitive sensation I get that surrounds my body when I'm out and about that makes me feel like not wanting to talk, or people can detect I am not in the mood to talk to them.

But anytime I feel like this aura or sensation I have that surrounds my body is amplifed, it feels like positive energy and that people will want to talk to me.

Does anyone else have an aura that is detectable by others or a sensation that you feel where you don't feel like talking, or you can sense that others don't want to be around you because of you giving off negative energy or a sensation where you don't want to be bothered?

Yeah, It could be that people pick up signs of other peoples moods unconciously, and mood is contagious lol.

I think this aura most of the time is just body language you're sending people. Studies have shown how the slightest, most subtle body movements can convey a certain message. Of course, you can also explain it away as "aura" if you want to get new age on it. :)

Happy, this reminds of me of that Rick James skit on Chappelle's Show.

"His aura...I could see it...it was orange."

But seriously, it's probably just body language. You can tell if someone is happy or angry just by looking at how they are presenting themselves.

I like this new you, Happy. It's very spiritual. I often thought of these things myself when I was spending time with hippies hehe.

You need to go out and to buy yourself a mood ring.:)

Sorry to pop your bubble, but I am not very spiritual:) I don't go to church because I fall asleep.

The only reason I asked about an aura is because whenever I feel like an outward vibration that radiates from confidence within me (what the hell! I feel like Mr Rogers)..I feel fluent-but that is EXTREMELY RARE!

And BTW to everybody, I am still on hiatus. This is just an interim post.:D

Seeing how that stuttering and fluency sort of dictates my mood, I thing I should just get a black mood ring!

Just need to get me a black and blue one.

It will stay black when I stutter horrible which is always, and blue when it is managable.

But seriously though, I don't believe in that sort of thing like a mood ring..I don't go for superstitions

Not wanting to talk has everything to do with stuttering for me. When I'm holding back, others will perceive that as negative. They also think that I think I am better than them. Maybe I am lol.

;) For some reason I thought you might have joined a cult and got brainwashed, then somehow you escaped, got deprogrammed and found the Stuttering Forum. Did that cult rename you Tanya? (That's a Seinfeld reference if anyone remembers it).

That would explain my weird enlightening mood after my hiatus!

I agree, I think it is just body language.
