I find i have trouble with sharp sounds like a and i words. Recently it has been a lot easier by focusing on the word "an"... an application forum. I find the distration of making sure that i am gramatically correct makes it easier to say words like application.

Does anyone else find this.

I know this will be hard to do sometimes. My stuttering friend who went thru speech therapy taught me this: You're exerting too much force with the vowels. You need to relax your vocal chords.

Do this: for example A: start to say Ahhhh in the softest lowest voice then go louder then soft again. Like a bell curve. You need to train your vocal muscles to work this way. You need to breathe through your stomach. He says that's a very important thing. It works most of the time for me. Frustrating to do it for all words but when I get stuck real bad it helps.

If you notice the way non-stutterers speak, they say each syllable with that bell curve resonation. Stutterers are very choppy.
