Hi everyone. My name is Charlie, and I'm a 43 yo stutterer. Have been all my life. My father stutters. I have two sons, and thankfully they are fluent so far (6 and 8 yo). I'm more of a closet (although sometimes not so closeted) stutterer. Achieving fluency through avoidance of words and situations. I've never done anything about it, so I'm for the first time in my life looking to connect with others and investigate some things that I can do to help. Why now? At my age you see yourself and the person you wanted to be. Anyways, looking forward to getting to know you, talking shop and trading war stories.

Hello and welcome. I'm a bit of a closet stutterer myself, especially back in my school days.

Hi Box, thx.
Boy, they should put up a notice that when you join, it can take awhile to get ur posts up here. Took a week for the intro to finally go through. I was just about to give up hope and quit this forum. Probably losing potential members because we are left in the dark wondering what is going on.
Rant concluded.
