Hello. Does anyone know if the pagoclone trials are still accepting people?

I'm new here; glad to be here. I am a student in the Dallas region and was wondering if anyone knows if the pagoclone study has stopped taking candidates for the phase IIb study. I just got done choking during a slide prsentation in front of my class. You'd think that art students are more accepting then others... Not the case I suppose. I chose art as a medium to express myself to compensate for my stuttering. Little did I know that in art school one is expected to verbally express thier visual expression. I am more frustrated now than ever. I signed up for the pagoclone trials via the internet for Dallas and in Austin. It's been two days with no response. I don't expect to be cured, or a miracle in other words, I would just like to help with the pursuit of a medical understanding of stuttering. Anywho, if anyone knows anything, please respond.

Welcome to the forum. I don't know anything about the Pagoclone trials but there have been several threads on the subject in the stuttering section over the last few months so if you take a look in there you may find something helpful.

I got an e-mail asking if I wanted to participate. The only bad thing is the location is in Chicago which is a couple hours from me.

I guess this thing is exactly called Pagaclone. If you spell it wrong the scientists will get angry and reject you anyway. ;)

i think they havent decided on the spelling yet. because in the official site they use both spellings :P

It started in SoCal. They rejected me because of my medical marijuana use. Plus you can not be on any medication for the last 5 months which I wasn't however they do not tolerate weed or coke even if it is prescribed by a doctor or a shyster.

I work on publicity on the pagoclone study. You can go to www.StutteringStudy.com for more information on the trial. The screener on the web site will automatically identify the closest trial site.
