Hi, I've been stuttering all my life severely. I'm in my early 20's now and extremely depressed. I'm reading a lot about certain drugs that may help reduce stuttering, including in this forum. I was wondering if it is possible to purchase them without a doctor prescription? It appears online sites require it as well. I don't have insurance or a doctor to go to to get it (I never had a doctor throughout my life because of financial reasons). Are there over-the-counter alternatives to these drugs, or something else I can get at like a G.N.C. store that will help?

Sorry for ressurecting an ancient post, i think the best thing you can do is get yourself out and about. If your depression is linked to your stammer then it is probably down to loneliness and/or a lack of confidence. Going out and meeting new people would be a lot beeter than getting yourself on medication. Especially at the age of 16.
