Hello friends,
I posted about three weeks ago mentioning that I had an interview at a Pharmacy school in which I stuttered severely. From that date I knew I had three weeks until my next interview at another pharmacy school. During the past three weeks, I've talked to alot of friends about my stuttering which I haven't done in the past and I've also read aloud while at home for three hours a day...(inspired from TenaciousD). I've tried to not avoid any situations and...I haven't seen much improvement, but I wasn't going to back away from this opportunity.
About five minutes before the interview I had to use the restroom and I stuttered just asking for the mens room. Wheew..I was sure to stutter in the interview coming up. I exited the restroom and preceeded to be called for the interview and the initial chit-chat was fine..and we had a brief pause before the start of the interview. In about a two seconds time I began to think about how alot of people on this site mentioned their stutter before the interview...and despite not ever doing this in the past...i took the opportunity. The interview panel thanked me for my honesty and while introducing myself I stuttered a little bit, but a lot of pressure was taken off, and I have to say the rest of the interview was really really smooth....and I beleive I delivered one of the best interviews of my life....I will find out for sure if I get into this pharmacy school in about three weeks.

Thanks for reading and thanks to everybody who posts similiar experiences because I believe I took the advice of many on this forum and it could inevitably lead me to my dream of becoming a pharmacist. Thanks gang!

Sounds like things went very well once the interview got underway. Hopefully you will get the job.

It's very interesting that the guy thanked you for your honesty. That was already a good sign.
