OMGOSH! :D
I had to do an english oral earlier today and in the entire eight minutes i had like three tiny stutters which would have only been visible if you were really paying attention. :p
I don't think i have ever spoken that smoothly EVER. :D
(haha as you can tell i am SOOOOO very very proud  )

haha lets just hope that this unexpected fluency carries over to my religion oral tomorrow :S *crosses fingers and toes*

Hey GJ! Usually I find getting off to a great start is the most important part of the speech because it builds confidence for you to carry on afterwards.

Btw just curious what's with all the oral speeches? 2 in 2 days, is college that different in OZ? I'd say in my entire time at univ here 1:4 is the ratio to courses that require a presentation:don't and usually it's just some 5 minute reading off the powerpoints type thing

Congrats. I know what an amazing feeling that is. I went to college and graduate school so I have had to do many presentations in my life...some better than others but it is a total accomplish when we get through one well! I am very, very happy for u!

That's awesome. Keep up the great work! Even if you do stutter a little more on your next presentation, think of all you have accomplished.

haha thanks guys :)

omg i had my religion oral on friday and it went really well :p it was a ten minute conversation with two teachers and we pretty much just had to talk to ourselves the whole time with out any palm cards or anything, and while i stuttered a little bit more than the english one, it still had rather large chunks of fluency

Have you done any special practice in the days before the speeches? If so, please share your advice with me, Violet. My next oral speech in my English literature class is in June and I really want to make it as fluent as possible.

Nice that's awsome! Speeches are tough even for fluent people, that's really cool and even if ya do stutter who care's I bet your speech will be interesting and people will want more!
