the fifth element.
i know you probably think i'm wierd, but this movie has more deeping meanings then just an action sci-fi movie. theres many ideas in this film that get unnoticed by most ppl.
its a very visual stimulating movie.

Hmm thats a tough one. These are a few of the movies that come to mind. In no particular order
The Usual Suspects
American Beauty
Mission Impossible (The first one)
Blade Runner
Minority Report
Batman Begins
Star Wars Series
All the Even numbered Star Trek Movies
I don't consider myself a movie buff or anything but I have noticed a trend in that I seem to like all of M. Night Shyamalan's films. Specifically, I really love Signs. The movie actually made me tear up, which is a rarity.

hrm, I consider myself to be very deeply involved with movies. My favorite movies are all anime (granted, 99% of anime are bad and give the genre a bad reputation, but some are very thoughtful...not at all like pokemon or dbz) , they are Ghost in the Shell (the 2 feature films, the tv show was made for kids) and Grave of the Fireflies.

I saw 'city of god' the other day for the first time the when it came on tv, and thought it was amazing. Best film ive seen in a long time. So good infact i thought id post about it on here. Its got all the ingredients for a great film in my opinion, violence, drugs, a tiny bit of sex but best of all is the plot, so many sub plots going on at the same time its hard to keep track but its very good. The directing is also brillaint. This film is also based on a true story, horrible to think.
Its amazing but apparently all but a few of the actors in this film were first timers  . Goes to show you dont need to pay each actor/actresse 10million+ a film to make it good.
I would say though try not to watch it on drink or drugs as you will not have a clue whats going on. If you dont like violence as i appriciate some people dont then prob better not watch this film as it has this in abundance. Also try and watch it in portugese with ur language of subtitles (unless u can speak portugese already) as i think this adds to the film instead of dubbing over the top of it
I'd prob say my fav 5 films at the mo are in no particular order:
- city of god
- saving private ryan
- trainspotting
- collateral
- shawshank redemption

Rocky
....the list could go on and I've probably missed some really good films...cheers, Riverman

I have a lot of favourites so I can't pick just one, I love all horror movies. I think the best one out of the lot has to be....nope can't decide. Bram Stoker's Dracula, I cry every time I see that.

I got a long list too, but mostly i stick to action, horror, fantasy and comedy. I will ball my eyes out if I watch a chick flick. I still cry after watching Old Yeller or watch an 1957 Plymouth Fury get crunched or a classic mustang going over an cliff. The one has sticks out in my mind is Shallow Hal!!!!
