I'm asking for a ban to be removed... right forum?

StayathomeHom was recently banned, and I understand why. Since she launched the biggest attack on me, I thought what I say about of her should be relevant.

Stayathomemom is new to the boarding scene, and she doesn't quite grasp the whole board style works. I talked to her, and she said she would be more sensitive. I personally think having a non-stutterer in our group would help us understand how the they understand and feel about stutterers. I talked to her, and she's going through some tough times. I told her to express her ipinions in a more "open" way. I think she's an asset to our group and can provide some insight.

She just wants to help, but something she tries to help in the wrong way. I talked to her about that, and she seems fine to me... and remember she directly attacked me on a open forum with my personal problems. I talked to her and told her how msg boards work, and maybe she will tune it down a little bit. I still t hink she;s a great insight to those who dont stutter.

All I'm asking for, is she given one more chance, and if she s that up, then you're free to do. She seemd immature at times but we talked bout that too. I think things can work out, and if not, block her IP again. It's just I think we're losing a asset which gives us insight into the non-stuttering world.

If she strikes again, then resume the ban. Since I was attacked by her, and we later worked it out, I thought I could have a little insight on this.

She said she'd tune it down, and I think she;s a asset to the group of a whole. Give her a probation period... if she gets to be her old self, thend end it... but if she's good, then give her her full stuff back.


This is just a request. It's up to you guys to decide on it.

i guess i would not take her back into the forum. its not about attacking you on ure opinion she just abuses and curses you. i was online with her on yahoo and she cursed me too and said that she would sue each one of us. what does that suppose to me....if she is in a financial crisis, is it we who have to b blamed?
you can read her posts, she has never contributed to the group apart from criticising. we r all here to help each other and not to get humiliated.
this forum has ppl in the age group of 11 to 56 as far as i know and she being 32 is so damn immatured.

Anyways, heres my two cents on the whole thing.....I'll agree with Andrew and possibly give her one more chance to redeem herself. If problems arise again, then go back to the ban.

I've have no interest in anything she says. I can already predict her responses. "That's cause you drink too much!" or "well, that's cause you smoke pot!" - "You're a bad person!"....She DOESN'T STUTTER - she has no idea how we feel..

And if I wanted to hang out with my mom - I'd call her... :D

But I'm easy, go ahead and let her back on. I don't mind...I just won't really take anything she says seriously.

She thinks that she is helping us, but instead she is causing fights and private- the members of this forum with inappropiate comments.

She obviously has some issues to deal with.

It's just I think we're losing a asset which gives us insight into the non-stuttering world.

Most people, when they see us stutter, will forget about it 30 seconds later. Most people aren't judging us by how we talk, but by the things we say. The rare person might make fun of us, but you have to realize that those are the people who are insecure and have their own problems.
What's even worse, is that we "mind-read" other people. We THINK that they think we are "stupid", but it could be the complete opposite. By mindreading, we are unfairly putting ourselves down, and causing our emotions to be negative.

i agree with bobby. there are billions of non stutterers in the world. we would prefer to bring in someone who has known stuttering from close and who has knowledge about it rather than criticizing us....i feel stayathomemom can stay at home all alone

I really don't know if my opinion will matter since I rarely post, but a month or so ago i decided to stop visiting the forum because there was just too much drama. I really couldn't stand the things that some people were posting to each other, so I found it best to stop reading or posting at all. I left and it seems as if most things are resolved now, so thats cool. I would say that it would be up to the people who were the ones who had trouble with the situations to decide whether a ban should be lifted. But if it continues causing people who come in here to get some help or advice for their condition to leave, then I would suggest an alternative solution be put in place.
