I hate stuttering and have tried speech therapy and all the "natural" ways to try and rid myself of stuttering. Nothing seems to work unfortunately though.

I have an understanding psychiatrist who will prescribe me any medication I want to see if it will reduce my stuttering.

Please list any medications that have had any significant effect on your speech. I am at a point now where I don't really care about the side effects or shortening my life. I just dont wan't to stutter anymore!

I just recently (2nd day today) started taking (a minimal introductory dose) of clonazepam, brand name "klonopin". It is an anti-anxiety drug that works the same as xanax but with a longer half life. Supposed to build up in the serum after a few days and maintain constant levels.

We'll see if anti-anxiety is the key, if not I would like to move on to a SSRI or a SNRI and go from there. Seems like Pagoclone is promising...

As a fitness freak, I've taken many supplements to try get the edge I need.

One thing that interested me was a write-up about GABA. Where the GABA agonist in the brain has shown some connection with the stuttering mind, I found that taking it orally produced a very small, almost negligible effect on my fluency.

However I have recently been taking USN Phedra-Cut XT to help keep my weight under control. I found a marked, prolonged, and sustainable reduction in stuttered words. I've been taking the pills now for about 6 weeks, and found the relief is immediate (1-2 days), and has not reduced with prolonged use of the pills.

I also find that during days off the pills, my fluency drops to normal levels. I'm looking into what ingredients in the pills could be the cause. I will continue to post my findings.
