Trouble with words starting with "St"

I used to have trouble with words that started with sm (smile, smart, smack etc.). I learned to pronounce the s then the next letter. Some reason I learned to say these words without stuttering.
However I never could say the words starting with st(start, story, stamp, etc.) Anyone have this same problem? Anyone have any advice that can fix this problem?

I'm new to this board. I'll do my intro and my own research results later. I have been studying stuttering intensely for about 5 years now.

Hi Eddie, I do not have any trouble with "sm" or "st" but if its an s followed by a vowel, "selling" or "summon" for example, I usually stutter. Its really annoying.
