View Full Version : McGuire 3 day intensive course - usefull?

Hi all. I am planning on doing a mcguire course in November (the soonest they come to my town). Has anyone on the forum been to a course before? if so, please let me know if it helped you at all. thanks;)

i took the course in 2004 it's great you learn alot i was to young i think and didn't really understand the work load that i need to put it.

I also have found it very useful and the workshop is very holistic in the way it approaches stuttering. You have to put in the work afterwards though to get lasting success.

It is not a stuttering cure, but the course is useful. As Jeff touches on, be aware that it is a complete lifestyle change and requires an obsessive amount of long term dedication. I have observed most people tend to do the course, get exited about it for a short period of time, and then lose interest. That said, if you feel you are ready to devote yourself to this program, it can be a great program.

I did and do, but I need more committment myself towards technique.

u can have great success with the program. it does take alot of work but the result are worth it. it's full on but the best thing is the support network after the course every student get a coach which is someone that has taken the course a few times learn alot an is there to help you out anytime. the support groups the 1 in adelaide is twice a month we met an talk about things work out what trouble we are having etc an plan how to improve on them. you get a phone list of everyone on the course an everyone is more than happy to take your call and help anyway they can.

yes it is it began on the US David McGuire is from the US.
