Lol no joke, right? I ran it by my sister a few weeks back. She said maybe because we know dolphins are intelligent creatures even though they can't communicate with us. I dunno haha. If I die I want to be reincarnated as a dolphin :p

hahahaha sometimes when I'm drinking I can get more creative so maybe I'll figure it out.

If you're really drunk and fluent, maybe you should stay drunk:D Attach an IV to you arm that feeds you alcohol on a daily basis. :p

I'm always fluent when drunk, I have no idea why.

not gonna lie... i have thought about staying drunk almost all the time just to be fluent lol but that would be expensive... not to mention my liver would die at age 25

Genius.

Unfortunately that effect of alcohol seems to have worn off me! When I started drinking 3.5 years ago, I was also always very fluent while drunk. Nowadays, there isn't as much of a difference unless I'm having a particularly good time.

What I want to know is why does it take 3 days for my comment to get posted??? It makes it hard to generate a conversation when you have to wait a week to get out 2 comments.

thats odd to be fluent while drunk, i want to try that but im not a drinker but have you realized that almost all in this post who drinks never stutters? i think the cause of that is you dont focus on yourself while your drunk kind of like forgetting yourself, interesting. im really thinking about starting drinking if it helps us

I don't drink anymore. I went Straight Edge, but when I used to get drunk I'd be fluent, but in Spanish!!! I took two years of Spanish in High School, but I don't speak fluent Spanish sober. My Mexican friend told me about it one night!!!

Guys, before I got married getting drunk was the only way how to talk to a really hot girl in a club. I know every guy does it, but for me, a stutterer, this was really the only way. I managed to get some dates, but I remember one particular where she shook my hand at the end... :-)

being drunk or talking with an accent and it disappears lol

I thought I was more fluent when sozzled. But apparently I am not! (So friends and family have told me) It perhaps just seems that way because I don't care so much or something. Ha.

I have another thing besides being drunk that makes me fluent!

Being ANGRY!!! It's like something just awakens in me and the floodgates in my mouth and mind just open. but the downside is being upset when around people you like, yeah they may notice your fluent but your a jerk at the same time!!! lol

that depends on the person.
when i stutter, i get angry for stuttering, which makes me stutter even more.
you have to find what suits you best to be fluent. it differs

You know how when people speak with an accent or act they are less likely to stutter? That's because they do different brainwaves to do so right? I think that may stand true for intoxication as well. Additionally, when you guys drink, do you fear about the judgment of others? Maybe that's a big part of it, what do you guys think?

something i have found out about the fluent drunk theory... being a recently graduated college student you find out that the more often you drink, the more you have to drink to become that fluent drunk lol i find myself to still stutter when I'm drunk... maybe i just have to much practice drinking
