View Full Version : How old are YOU?

I'll start: 27

I've noticed a lot of 20's and would like to see if there is a cluster of certain age groups. Of course, this doesn't mean it's the age group where most stuttering occurs - but may be due to that age group surfing the net more? anyway, your response would be cool.

I'm 42, married (17 years) to a wonderful, lovely woman, and pleasing to look at (Very pleasing). Two daughters (13 and 16). I served 20 years in the USAF, I worked as an aircraft mechanic for US Customs for 2 years. I became a deputy sheriff, I was the top student in my police academy class, I'm now working at the front desk where I come in continual contact with the public. I actually speak more now than when I was on patrol. By all means I'm not bragging, I'm just saying don't let stuttering rule your lives, especially you younger guys, there's so much opprtunities out there.

When I first joined the USAF I had the opportunity to join Pararescue. When they called for volunteers I was one of the first to stand up. But, when I saw they were asking your name a wave of panic swept over me and I sat back down. I do regret it but I would of never met my wife (I'd rather have my wife). I'm also an usher at the church I attend. Once again, don't let it stop you, most stutters are very capable and perform very well, actually excel at their chosen professions, keep plugging away at your dreams.

You are all in my prayers,

USAFNCO (Retired)

PS: Gary1450, I hear you Bro!

From one artist to another.

'Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, but beautiful old people are works of art'.

This is what I get from this forum.

'Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself'.

I'm currently 39, but will be turning 40 in a couple of months. I have 4 1/2 yr old daughters.

Peace,

Insha

my advice for all is dont let thouse who have no patience upset you they are not worth it just go about what you are doing and those who are ignorant and say something turn around and tell them to go through what you do everyday and they will learn not to be so judgemental
