When i stutter sometimes my head gos down slowly and then jerks back up violently and i cant stop it. My head ussually hit something when that happens. How do i stop

I sometimes get a cramped jaw from a long block and I have to physically push the knot down lol

I remember a post or blog where someone had a similar problem. If I remember right he used a mirror and watched as he did the action whenever he could and then modified his motions to lessen and then remove it. I'll try and dig it out. But I would recommend trying to see what exactly you do as a start.

I run out of breath if you can call that physical pain. it's more of an irritation though.

Yes Nerrad, On some blocks I also run out of air.

that sounds fairly serious,,,why dont try some of the medicines other stutterers have some success with,,xanax and a few others are always mentioned.
Search for medications on this forum and few names will come up,,go to your family doctor and most of them will give you a prescription when you tell your story.

I run out of breath too!!!! justttt as ur about to get da word out u need to stop, take a breath n start stutterin ALL OVA AGAIN!
my head used to go up n down on blocks before i had started taking sertraline tablets. thats gone now (phew)
