This is my old scores. Scores relate to my speaking ability between 1-10. 10 being fluent, 1 being unable to speak.

Speaking alone - 10

Girlfriend - 10 - I never stammered, we have been together for so long i am just comfortable.

Best mate - 9

Mates - 8

Parents - 8

Strangers - 7

As you can see, things were good for a long time. Now i have just started this webdesign course and suddenly i am unable to speak...

Speaking alone - 8

Girlfriend - 8 - last week it was 7, it has improved a bit.

Bestmate - 7

Mates - 5

Parents - 5

Strangers - 4

Do you see the difference! Seriously things have gone soo downhill and i don't understand why. I thought i had got the measure of my stammer when i became comfortable with it. I had a stammer i wouldn't get embaressed, if i get stuck i get stuck. I still have this feeling with my stammer but my speech has gone to pot.

I still have the confidence to make phone calls, to start conversation's etc. But i wonder how long this feeling will last for if i can't speak.

This drop of fluency across the board is deeply concerning and was hoping you could give me some guidence. Something to read or something to do that could get me back on track.

I understand, I'm 31 years old now and throughout the years it has gotten worse. I've lost a lot of fluency.

I used to be able to hide my stuttering well but I can't anymore.

I don't know why but my stutter has gotten way worse--it started getting progressivly worse starting
back in like 2001....the only reason i can think of was a devastating device that caused it called the digital
speech aid....it's a device that is supposed to totally
eliminate stuttering--- I tried it 3 years ago(with
sweaty hands)-- i was a nervous wreck...but after
I used it for a few days-- i noticed it was absolutly horrible-- i mean HORRIBLE-- to those who are interested be very CAUTIOUS....it will literaly
make you stutter so bad, you will feel mute on the
inside which is how i feel now...

I reccomend get your hands on a Fluency Master--
which i cant afford but desperately need...

I highly advise against the digital speech aid...do not make the mistake I did..

Perad,
I'm really sorry to hear this....but I beleive everything is going to get better. What we all have to do is work at it. I put time aside everyday, even if it's only 10 minutes to focus on my stuttering. Things, I will do is read out loud, read Tongue Twisters, ect. But this is only merely the beginning. If you haven't already, I would like you to read an article I advised the board to read on a few months back. I have received several positive reply's to this, and it also helped me with my stuttering. Here is the link to that article

This should be a place to start. I hope this helps. Please let me know if this helped at all. Feel free to e-mail me anytime at

Look speech goes up and down no mattre who your are but you started somthing new i use to have trouble when i started something new. my speech would drop it went back up after a while. If u slow your rate of speech down it helps try talking a little slow not like really Slow talking but just a nice slow nature pace the average person speak about 300 sounds a sec you need to slow that down to about 250 or so
