View Full Version : I'm looking for a stuttering support group

Are there such things? I live in Los Angeles and I've searched for such a group and and I haven't had much luck. The only/nearest one is like 39 miles away and I tried driving there once, but traffic was crazy and I got lost :confused: . This is so disappointing because there are so many other kinds of support groups out there. If anyone knows about a support group for stutterers in L.A. please help me, thanks.

That's the one that I was referring to. I'm in Southern Cali and it's really hard to find one. I'll keep looking though.

Have you thought about making your own? I am learning webdesign. Setting up an internet group wouldn't be that much of an ask, people share e-mails, have a forum like this and set up voice chat over the internet through or ventrilo.

If you can't find anything in your area, setting up an internet one might be the way to go.

That is a really good suggestion. I think I will give it a try. I'm a graphic designer and I'm a little familiar with web. I'll see how I can implement what I know (and don't know). I don't know how long any of this will take, but If I ever need any web assistance could I possibly ask for your help?

Ideally you will want a home page. Then a forum, forums can be free. You can get them at invisionfree and several other places. There is a way of moving them to your server instead of having a forum as a subdomain of invisionfree.

Ventrillo and are both free to download and use.

If you want, i can have a stab at designing a home page for you, just tell me what you want it to be like. I was going to make a site over christmas anyway.
