So, Hi everyone I'm Rach and I'm 29, just joined this group, I've had a stutter for years but have been a covert stutterer for the most part up until the last couple years. I think I got to the stage where I was just too tired to keep up the front of changing words and thinking ahead it just gringds you down!
The last couple years have been alot easier I started a new job recently and for one of the first times ever told my employers that I have a stutter and have openly stuttered and I think it's instantly lifted what has felt like a huge weight off my shoulders, now I have to transfer that to my friends that Have heard me speak a certain way for years and to try and speak as a person who stutters rather than someone who pretends not to have one!!!

Hi Rach - Welcome!

I like to think that all that word-switching as a child helped develop my great vocabulary. That and reading comic books. :D
