Hello All,
This morning after completing my workout, an elderly lady asked me for instructions on how to use the eliptical trainer. I was able to articulately give her directions. The gym was crowded and people were waiting in line for the cardio machines. I did not feel like I had to rush nor did I go into a panic. I was able to help the lady with no thoughts of blocking. I was aware of other people watching and listening, but It did not matter. Talk about a confidence builder, in the past I've been in similar situations where I've blocked then went into a panic.
About half way through my explanation, I physically noticed how easy speaking actually is.
I hope this is encourages all,

Anyone try to get into the study about Pagoclone? It was a anxiety drug but has been shown to stop stuttering in those who took it for anxiety and also stuttered. I was not able to get into the clinical trial because there is not a testing site in my area (Boston). But I reccommend that anyone go to stutteringstudy.com and look at the information.
Abput the prorpranolol and buspar, have they really worked. I am anxious to hear your answers. Also, has anyone taken GABA in relation to stuttering?

Surely taking medication for conditions which you don't have will have a detrimental effect on your health.
Also where do you get your medication from? If i said to my doctor, give me this and that he would laugh at me.

Propranolol is also used for the treatment of migraine headaches. I suffer from migraines, since taking the meds, I only had one headache which was very slight.
Buspar is used to treat anxiety, I know when I'm speaking or before speaking I'm very anxious. My anxiety has been greatly reduced since taking Buspar.
My doctor at the Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital perscribed them for me, to which I'm very thankful.

Hello All,
I just purchased a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, sweet car. I had to call my insurance agent and switch the insurance from my GMC pick-up to my car. When I initially thought about the call I felt a little anxious, I took a deep breath and it melted away. I was able to get on the phone and make an almost flawless call, I blocked on my name which I was able to slide through after the initial block.

Thats awesome. That sounds like a call that involves a lot of talking. Only one block on your name? That is amazing. Keep it up.

If my doctor laughed at me when I requested a medication, I probably would punch him square in the nose. My doctor prescribes me anything, b/c he realizes I know more about this condition then he does.
