Wow. This morning I had to call a bank to pay off a loan and my stuttering was crazy. Not to mention half way through the process my phone lost signal and I had to call back again and do it all over again, but the second time was easier. Also it was in the morning, and I find I stutter much worse in the morning then any other time during the day. Anybody else have the same experience?

I find my stuttering is much worse if I am tired. If it has been a long day and I am really tired my speech is at its worst.
The vocal cords need to "warm up" in the morning. Singers know this and practise a bit before singing. I do a 5-minute reading exercise every morning after I've woken up. If I don't do this, my speech is definitely worse.

I seem to stutter worse in the morning. I need to drink my morning coffee, wake up a bit, maybe even have a glass or 2 of water before I have any hopes of the stutter easing off. I feel groggy until I'm properly hydrated and caffeinated. Slower thinking = slower speech for me.
I used to suffer from sleep apnea but have a machine for that now. I was hoping the stuttering wouldn't be as severe in the AM after going on the machine, but it hasn't changed much.
I find coffee is a big help any time of day. If I really get flying on caffeine I stutter very little, lol. Sharpens the brain, i guess.
Good luck Dream...

I agree, I feel my brain has to 'warm up.' :D

Not necessarily morning, but when I'm tired. Caffeine usually does the trick.
