Hi Everybody,

I did a surgery to remove my enlarged tonsillitis in my throat when I was 14 in 1998. Could it be the cause of my stuttering? As far as I remember I even stuttered before that. Can removal of my tonsillitis may have increased the symptoms of my stuttering? Please reply as I need some answers.

Regards

I don't think that your tonsils, or the removal thereof, would have had any effect on your fluency or lack thereof, unless you experienced the surgery as intensely traumatic. Trauma can increase stress and impact on fluency.

I highly doubt it.
