Customer service job?

Hi, I was just wondering if any stutterers out there have had a customer service job, like cashier, sales rep, or something similar. I am 17 and I really want a job for the summer (New Iphone just announced...I need it lol), but so far the only jobs I've found are customer service jobs, and since I stutter, those type of jobs would be particularly difficult for me. But of course, I have ambitions and dreams that I'd like to fulfill...at some point in my life. In order to accomplish these dreams, I need to overcome my fear of speaking and I think this would be a great start. I just really wanted to hear some experiences or some advice from fellow stutterers that have had customer service jobs or similar type of jobs. Any responses would be appreciated, thanks! :)

I think that you should apply for the jobs and see what happens. I work as a window cleaner which involves talking to my customers quite a lot. It can be hard sometimes and I do stutter with them but I try not to let it get in the way too much.

I stutter pretty bad and some how I ended up in Sales. I have to answer the phone, make phone calls and talk to groups. I have good days and bad days. I really like the challenge of sales because I stutter.

I would apply for it. Answering calls is easier than making calls.
